Tail A Sea Turtle
Did you know? Loggerhead turtles are thought to be one of the oldest turtle species weighing up to 450kg! Go on a Turtle watching tour and head to the golden sandy stretch of Alagadi Beach to witness a cute baby turtle hatch or a mother turtle secretly burying her eggs at night! Sea Turtles are often spotted between May to August and usually hatch during the hottest latter months. The pristine shores of North Cyprus are a prime nesting ground for the endangered Loggerhead and Green Turtle and Alagadi Beach is classified as a prohibited area to protect these adorable species.

A trip to Cyprus isn't complete without sampling the local specialty, pitta of mixed souvlakia, which typically consists of grilled meat skewers, sheftalia sausages, and salad. Authentically, is an island staple. While there are a few bars in Laiki Geitonia, the mayiria in the Old Town will give you a true taste of the community. You can't get any closer to eating in a local Cypriot home than at one of these restaurants, which serve traditional dishes prepared in the same way every day.
