ATOL – (Air Travel Organiser’s Licence Scheme) is a government financial protection scheme that covers customers when a holiday is booked with a UK travel company that is an ATOL holder. If a company ceases trading, the ATOL protects customers from losing their money and also offers assistance whilst they’re abroad.
ABTA is a trade association for UK travel agents, tour operators and the wider travel industry, who for over 70 years have been offering expert advice, support and guidance. ABTA leads the way for code of conduct, ensuring the highest service standards among its members, pinpointing on key issues for holidaymakers, including fair trading and health and safety in the UK and abroad.
