The Punic and Roman artefacts that were unearthed from the archaeological sites on the peninsula are the highlights of this tiny, but interesting museum that provides a detailed introduction to the history of Cap Bon.

Fancy a day trip from Sousse? Head to El Jem Amphitheatre, where you can choose between public and private tours of the enormous golden stone amphitheatre. We recommend the train trip since it is the most relaxing option especially if you're travelling solo. Stop at the archaeological museum after seeing out the amphitheatre to learn more about the remnants of this area's prosperous Roman era!
