The zoo is divided into several distinct areas, including the Canadian Wilds, where you can see animals like grizzly bears and wolves in their natural habitats and the Destination Africa exhibit, which features elephants, giraffes, and zebras. In addition to the animal exhibits, the zoo also offers a variety of educational programs and activities, including behind-the-scenes tours and interactive exhibits.

Immerse In The Awe-Inspiring Landscapes

For a unique and fascinating glimpse into the history of the region, head-to-head-smashed-In Buffalo Jump. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a preserved cliff site that was once used by indigenous peoples to hunt bison. Take a guided tour of the site and learn about the history and culture of the area, including the techniques used by the indigenous people to hunt bison en masse. The site also features a museum, which showcases artifacts and exhibits related to the history of the site and the people who lived there.

For a truly unforgettable experience, head to the Calgary Stampede. This annual event, which takes place over 10 days in July, is a celebration of Western culture and includes rodeos, concerts, carnival rides and more. Watch as cowboys and cowgirls compete in events like bull riding, barrel racing and steer wrestling, and enjoy live performances by some of the biggest names in music. In addition to the main events, the Stampede also features a variety of food vendors, exhibitions and other activities, making it a fun-filled experience for visitors of all ages.

For a fun day of shopping and entertainment, head to 17th Ave and the Entertainment District in Calgary. This vibrant area is home to a variety of trendy shops, boutiques and restaurants, as well as several popular entertainment venues. When you're ready for a break, stop by one of the area's many cafes or restaurants for a bite to eat, or catch a show at a nearby theatre.
