In the northwest Türkiye borders with Bulgaria, in the northeast its neighbors are Armenia and Georgia, in the east and southeast the country shares a border with Iran and Iraq.
Turkey's neighbor to the south is Syria and to the southwest it is Greece.
The unique geographical position of the country is due to the fact that it is located in two continents at the crossroads of the important routes connecting Europe and Asia.
Its territory is next to the waters of the Bosporus and the Black Sea (in the east), the Dardanelles, the Sea of Marmara and the Mediterranean Sea (in the south). The country has access to the Aegean Sea.

Climate

The beach season on the sunny coast of Turkey lasts from April to November, with the air temperature staying at about 85°F (30°C) during the summer.

Currency can be changed at currency exchange offices, banks, as well as at the post office. In the resort areas both Visa and Mastercard cards and euro in cash are accepted for payment.
When making money exchange, please note that currency exchange offices may charge a commission for each transaction. There should be an announcement about this.
Banks are open from 8.30 to 17.00 (lunch breaks from 12.00 to 13.30), except Saturday and Sunday.
