Travel to Kritsa, a picture-perfect town surrounded by olive orchards, to get a flavour of Cretan life. The major draw is the high street, which is packed with stores offering everything from embroidered clothes to pottery and leather goods. We recommend visiting the main plaza once you've finished shopping to fall in love with Cretan food, since most of the old-timey eateries can be found here!
Natural Wonder Revealed!
Awaken the daredevil in you as you explore the dark caves of Milatos! The caves are so dark that you'll need a torch to explore them and getting there on foot can be a hassle because of how far they are from the hamlet. There is a little church inside the cave that was constructed in 1935; it is located next to a wide circular entrance that provides breathtaking views of the area, so make sure to carry your camera and snap away!
