Currency can be changed at currency exchange offices, banks, as well as at the post office. In the resort areas both Visa and Mastercard cards and euro in cash are accepted for payment.
When making money exchange, please note that currency exchange offices may charge a commission for each transaction. There should be an announcement about this.
Banks are open from 8.30 to 17.00 (lunch breaks from 12.00 to 13.30), except Saturday and Sunday.

If you're looking for a unique spot to visit, we recommend checking out the Maspalomas sand dunes. They're truly a natural wonder and definitely worth seeing! The sand formations cover 400 hectares and are unique because they shift with the wind and create different patterns all the time. If you plan to visit the dunes, go early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when the light is at its finest. You will be rewarded with some incredible sights!
