Things To Do
Tropical Paradise

Ready for some Vitamin Sea? Head to this beach to feel pure bliss! We recommend getting here early to get a good spot as it can get quite crowded since it's quite close to Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue). Rent out a sun lounger or play a friendly game of volleyball; either way, there are loads of activities to choose from, including kite surfing and paddleboarding on the Caribbean Sea! When hunger kicks in, grab a bite at one of the cafes lined up at the promenade and watch the sun go down!

A Mystical Lure...

Get ready to unveil the mystical underworld at Rio Secreto! It's like stepping into a real-life fairy tale, where underground rivers and sparkling caves are the stars of the show. With your trusty helmet and water shoes, you'll wade through crystal-clear waters, feeling like an intrepid explorer on a magical quest. From gazing at stalactites that seem to have their own secrets to discovering hidden chambers that are nature's best-kept surprises, Rio Secreto is an invitation to dive into an enchanting world where adventure and awe await around every corner.

Experience Cenote's Magic

Want to take a plunge in a magical pool? Located 4.9 Miles from the city centre is Cenote Chaak Tun. These caves are famous for the two pools of freshwater surrounded by stalagmites and stalactites. The allure of a refreshing swim and snorkelling through the crystal clear water is too great to resist in such a sensational setting so make sure you book in advance!

Here For The Thrills

A Shangri La for kids and adults!! Visit Xel-Ha Park to have fun and try the many rides and activities, like bike riding through the jungle path or enjoying on the zip line! Enter the realm of children to amuse your own! You can go for a swim, slide down some waterslides, or spend some time on the playground's climbing rope. To end the day on a high note, we recommend visiting the top of the 40-meter-tall lighthouse for a breathtaking vista of Xel-Ha Bay and the Caribbean.

Explore The Ancient Wonders...

Free, so it's easy on the wallet! Even though it's only a 10-minute stroll from Playa del Carmen Beach, the archaeological site of Xaman-Ha ruins is surprisingly peaceful. When you explore the three stone buildings dating back to the year 1200 AD, keep an eye out for exotic iguanas reclining on the stone walls. Although though it pales in comparison to Chichen Itza and El Rey, this site is significant since it was from here that Mayan ladies set sail for Cozumel Island to celebrate the goddess, Ixchel!
