The British Fancy Dress celebration takes place immediately after the main fiestas, making this an especially interesting week to visit Benidorm.

The Fiestas Mayores Patronales are one of Benidorm's most important traditional celebrations.

Rather than the Benidorm many British holidaymakers know from Levante Beach and its nightlife, this is an opportunity to experience more of the resort's Spanish traditions and local culture.

The celebrations are centred particularly around Benidorm's Old Town and Poniente, with traditional events, parades and festivities taking place over several days.

🎭 British Fancy Dress Party – 12 November 2026

Just when you think the celebrations are over, Benidorm changes gear completely.

On Thursday 12 November, it's time for the British Fancy Dress Party.

The celebration is particularly associated with the Rincón de Loix, Calle Gerona and British Square area, where thousands of visitors arrive in costumes for a day of fancy dress, music and entertainment.

Expect everything from superheroes and retro characters to pirates and wonderfully imaginative group costumes.

You can dress up and join in or simply head out to enjoy the atmosphere.
