The UNESCO-protected heart of this fairy-tale town features dainty cobbled streets and terracotta roofs, flanked by lively avenues brimming with bars, clubs, and restaurants. It's a vibrant place to be, and the excellent-value upscale stays and wallet-friendly prices for food and drinks set the stage for unforgettable nights out.

8 Beginners Pistes

The slopes here are as gentle making it the perfect for newbies. You'll catch a ride on the Bansko gondola, to dive headfirst into lessons, mastering those snow-taming skills like a pro. Ready to level up? Hop on the Kolarski chairlift and let it whisk you away to a world of shorter blue slopes, where the thrill of gliding down Blue 6 and the upper part of Blue 1 awaits. And when you're feeling as bold, go all out and conquer the entire 5km stretch of Blue 1, carving your way right down to the charming town and skipping the gondola ride home.

11 Intermediate Pistes

There’s a fantastic choice of blue and red ski runs for budding intermediates, wonderfully connected by a network of mostly chair and a few drag lifts. Start your day with a ride up the Bansko gondola, and then it's your time to shine. Zip down groomed blues and the occasional red, like the exhilarating Tomba or Shiligarnik runs!

2 Advanced Pistes

This mountain playground boasts challenging slopes where double diamonds are the name of the game. Dive into the abyss of the Alberto Tomba, where your skills will be tested to the max and conquer the steep and powdery Abyss run. If you're craving more adventure, the Nadezhda and Ulen runs are your stage. Plus, the off-piste adventures here are like finding hidden treasure – steep, deep and completely wild.
