Currency can be changed at currency exchange offices, banks, as well as at the post office. In the resort areas both Visa and Mastercard cards and euro in cash are accepted for payment.

When exchanging money, please note that currency exchange offices may charge a commission for each transaction. There should be an announcement about this.

Banks are open from 8.30 to 17.00 (lunch breaks from 12.00 to 13.30), except Saturday and Sunday.

Relive History

Overlooking the harbour is the castle, an architectural wonder with its massive stone walls and striking silhouette. Be whisked away to another time and place as you explore the grounds and wind through the gardens. Impressive and grand, it dominates the shore and appears on many postcards from the area. Tread further into the castle and find yourself at the Museum of Underwater Archaeology; just as the name suggests, there are 14 halls to explore the underwater displays.

Marvel At The Bodrum’s Windmill

Hike your way up and soak in the views of Bodrum and Gumbet bays and witness the 18th-century windmills that were used to grind flour for the local people. In addition to the breath-taking views of the bay, the picturesque white windmills make for an excellent Instagram post!

Don't leave Bodrum without picking up a pair of handcrafted leather shoes known across the world as "Bodrum sandals." while being spoilt at the Turkish Bazaars of Bodrum selling a wide variety of items, including colourful shells, vases, handcrafted bowls, ashtrays, and mosaic lanterns made from onyx.

Evening Entertainment

Rejoice at a concert in this open-air museum while enjoying the panoramic views of Bodrum’s peninsula. Located in the centre, the antique theatre is one of the best-preserved structures of the ancient Halikarnassus.
