Things To Do
Dose Of Vitamin Sea

Feel the charged atmosphere at Glozanie Beach! This action-packed beach is just a 20-minute walk from the old town, making it quite accessible. The appealing promenade is lined with cafes and restaurants, spoiling you with choices! Order a cocktail, relax on the beach, or jet ski or paraglide. The choice is yours!

Blast From The Past...

Offering a fascinating glimpse into Minoan life, the archaeological site of Malia Palace easily qualifies as one of the most important ancient sites in Crete. We recommend getting a tour guide since the information boards are scarce. Some of the notable objects to look at are the gold pendant, which had been excavated and is now housed in the Heraklion Archaeological Museum. Other highlights include the Quarter Mu workshops, official apartments and a vivid model reconstruction in the main foyer.

Whirlwind Of Fun!

Are you sick of the beach and history? With over 50 water slides and attractions to pick from, bring your kids to Acqua Plus to enjoy splashing around in the water or riding on some thrilling rides. For the ultimate adrenaline rush, ride the tsunami and space bowl! Alternatively, you may unwind by drifting down the lazy river ride while the youngsters enjoy the tower slide. Get your tickets online because it may get fairly busy during the warmer months.

Craving An Adventure?

Trudge your way across the rugged plains of the Lassithi Plateau, which is famously known for its majestic, white-sailed windmill landscape. The highlight of the region is the mythical Psychro Cave, which is supposed to be Zeus' birthplace. You can hire a jeep and go on a safari and traverse through tiny villages, pass almond trees and stone mausoleums to get a glimpse of rural Cretan life!

Epic Escapade

Hike your way through the lesser-known trail of Roza Gorge, which has the spectacular vista of the famed Samaria Gorge. Keep up your pace throughout the 6.8 kilometres and be rewarded with the rose coloured rock formations. This trail links the mountain villages of Kera and Gonies; you can opt to start your train from either one of these villages.
